Chimney or no chimney!

We work on houses large and small, with chimneys and with no chimneys. From the smallest 'one up-one down', to the grandest country house, it is usually possible to install a wood burner.

Chimney

Where a dwelling has an existing chimney, we line the flue with a flexible stainless steel liner which connects up to the stove. This is not a legal requirement, however, it is our policy because it is recommended by HETAS, and it increases the safety and efficiency of the stove.

The liner we use is a top quality product. It is sourced from a UK manufacturer in line with our ‘green’ ethos, and any small offcuts are recycled. It comes with a manufacturer’s lifetime guarantee.

No chimney

Where there is no chimney it can be possible to install a twinwall insulated stainless steel chimney system. This can either go up through the house, or up to just below the ceiling of a room and then up the outside of the house.

The chimney system we use is a top quality product manufactured in the UK and is guaranteed for 25 years by the manufacturer.

Accessing your roof

Mark has a fine collection of ladders, and carries out a risk assessment on every roof. Sometimes the job cannot be carried out using ladders for safety reasons, and in these cases scaffolding must be erected or a cherry picker used. We leave the customer to arrange this as it is more cost-effective for the client that way.
