Choosing your stove

Size

When choosing a new wood burner or multifuel stove, the first thing to consider is the size or heat output. A 5kw output is more than adequate in most living spaces. For large or open plan rooms you may need a larger output, this calculator will give you a rough guide but we are happy to advise. If you do require a stove larger than 5kw, you will also need an air brick installed in the room to ensure there is sufficient air supply. 

Style

With many different brands on the market, there are designs to suit every home. Here are a few of our recommended brands:

• Stovax - If you are looking for a more traditional style

• Charnwood - Offer both contemporary and traditional styles

• Clearview Stoves - Premium stoves with a simplicity of styling which suits most interiors

Quality & ease of use

The above brands are all made in the UK and the build quality is of a high standard which is why they are our preferred brands to work with. Additionally, they are all extremely easy to operate compared to some of the more highly engineered brands on the market which have complicated controls.
